Return... is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your meditation practice is personal, and your data should stay that way.

The App: What We Don't Collect

The Return... iOS app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. We have no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising in the app.

  • No usage analytics
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No third-party SDKs that collect data

Website & Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter on this website, we collect:

  • Email address — to send you updates about Return...
  • IP address — temporarily, for rate limiting and spam prevention
  • Subscription date — to manage your subscription

We use this information to send you:

  • A welcome email when you subscribe
  • Occasional updates about new features, meditation tips, or app news (typically a few times per year)

We use Resend to deliver emails. Your email address is stored in their system subject to their privacy policy.

Unsubscribe: Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, and we'll remove your email from our list.

Data Stored on Your Device

Return... stores your preferences and settings locally on your device. This includes:

  • Timer duration preferences
  • Selected theme (Water, Fire, Forest, Silence)
  • Bell sound and repeat settings
  • HealthKit logging preference

This data never leaves your device except through iCloud sync (described below).

Apple Health Integration

If you enable HealthKit integration, Return... can log your meditation sessions as "Mindful Minutes" to Apple Health. This data:

  • Is stored in Apple Health on your device
  • Is managed by Apple's Health app
  • Is not accessible to us or any third party
  • Can be deleted at any time through Apple Health

You can disable HealthKit integration at any time in the app's settings.

iCloud Sync

Return... uses iCloud Key-Value Store to sync your settings and session history across your Apple devices. This means:

  • Your data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account
  • Only you have access to this data
  • We have no access to your iCloud data
  • You can manage or delete this data through your iCloud settings

Website Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand visitor patterns. Our analytics are designed to be GDPR/CCPA compliant by default.

  • Collected: Page views, referrer domains, country (via Cloudflare), device type (mobile/desktop)
  • NOT collected: IP addresses, cookies, personal identifiers, browsing history

We use a daily-rotating hash to count unique visitors. This hash cannot identify individuals and resets every day, making cross-day tracking impossible.

Raw pageview data is deleted after 90 days. No data is shared with third parties.

Third-Party Services

The App: Return... is a standalone app with no external dependencies for data processing. We use no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or social media integrations in the app.

The Website:

  • Resend — Newsletter emails (email address only, if you subscribe)
  • Cloudflare — Website hosting, CDN, and privacy-first analytics infrastructure

Children's Privacy

Return... does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
